Physiotherapy Service

This service is staffed by one full time and one part time therapist, and provides physiotherapy care and support across both primary and secondary care.

The team also work on the hospital ward to assess and treat patients who are acutely unwell, as well as with the community services team to provide rehabilitation and re-enablement closer to home. Alternatively, people can self-refer into the service.

Physiotherapists also focus on health promotion activities, including providing chair-based exercise classes in the community and running weekly hydrotherapy sessions. The team also provides acupuncture and joint injections.
