Updated travel requirements between the Falkland Islands and United Kingdom

Recently, the UK government confirmed the details of their new traffic light system for travel in and out of England. Countries are rated green, amber or red, based on their Covid-19 risk, and the success of domestic vaccine rollouts – the Falkland Islands is currently on the green list. Subsequent to this information, further advice has now been released on the requirements for travelling onwards to Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Travellers arriving at Brize Norton will still be required to complete a passenger locator form before they travel, however they are exempt from providing proof of a negative Covid-19 test if they began their journey in the Falkland Islands. The UK government still requires travellers from green list countries to take a Covid-19 test on or before day two of arrival, although there is no requirement to self-isolate, unless the test result is positive.
