Environmental Impact Statement - Navitas

 

Navitas Petroleum Development and Production Ltd.

In accordance with the Offshore Minerals Ordinance 1994 (as amended), an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been submitted to the Falkland Islands Government by Navitas Petroleum Development and Production Ltd. concerning proposals for the drilling of oil wells and offshore production from the Sea Lion Field Northern Development Area, Phase 1 and 2, and associated activities. As such a statutory period of consultation will now run from 2nd July 2024 to 13th August 2024.

Paper copies of the Non-Technical Summary and the EIS in its entirety are available for inspection in Stanley at the Department of Mineral Resources, Fisheries Building, Bypass Road; at the Post Office, Ross Road; and at the Department of Planning, The Secretariat, Thatcher Drive.  Paper copies of the Non-Technical Summary can be requested at these premises and electronic copies of the EIS and Non-Technical Summary can be obtained on USB stick or from the link below.
