Job Title: Mechanic/Firefighter

Falkland Islands Government FIG Grade F starting salary £25,450 - £29,189 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

The Opportunity: Assist with the provision of an efficient and effective Fire and Rescue Service for the safety and protection of all within the Falkland Islands (land, sea, and air).

Essential Criteria: A qualified mechanic to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), or the ability to demonstrate a solid track record or experience in mechanics (i.e. 5 years as a mechanic working to a similar level) and the ability to organise maintenance schedules and keep accurate records.

Additional Information: Due to the sensitive nature of this role, successful candidates will be required to undergo enhanced background and criminal record checks. 

Contract Type: This is a permanent post on FIG terms and conditions
