Job Title:  Offshore Petroleum - Policy Lead

FIG Grade A: starting salary £57,216 – £85,631 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

The Opportunity: The Offshore Petroleum Policy Lead is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing all offshore petroleum industry related policies, legislation, codes of practice, and associated technical guidance. You will ensure these frameworks remain robust, up-to-date, and aligned with best practices, enabling the effective and efficient management and regulation of this essential component of national energy infrastructure.

Essential criteria: to include a Master’s degree and significant experience (10+ years) in a senior policy delivery role, which involves delivery of major projects or programmes of national importance. Experience of oil and gas project would be advantageous. Additionally, extensive experience of operating within a public sector or research organisation (government or non-government) with senior policy responsibility.

The Opportunity: Stanley House are looking for a full time Houseparent to provide a safe, caring, boarding environment with a focus on delivering high standards of person-centred care for all boarders.

Essential criteria for the role to include a good level of education with a minimum GCSE grade C/Level 4 or above in Maths & English (or equivalent), a current manual driving licence and three years’ driving experience in order to pass the FIG proficiency test for Minibus and Land Rover. Additionally, experience of working with students in a pastoral capacity (as a parent or in a youth organisation etc.) is also required.

Job Title:  Offshore Petroleum - Head of Health, Safety and Environment

FIG Grade A1: starting salary £85,371 – £105,248 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

The Opportunity: Leading a team of Health and Safety, Environment and Policy professionals, the Offshore Petroleum Head of Health, Safety and Environment will primarily act as the de facto Health, Safety and Environmental Regulator for all offshore petroleum development activity on behalf of the Government.

Essential criteria: to include a master’s degree in either health, safety or environment, or alternative business qualification or equivalent experience which should include at least ten years’ experience of effectively leading complex and large-scale teams’ projects and programmes of a similar level in a regulatory function. Additionally, the postholder should hold Chartered Membership of an appropriate professional institute associated with Health and Safety, Engineering, Science or Project Management.

Interagency Liaison Officer

The Opportunity: Reporting to the Chief Resilience Officer as a member of the Directorate of Emergency Services & Island Security and working as part of a multi-agency team, the Interagency Liaison Officer (ILO) will provide critical support to emergency planning and resilience workstreams in the Falkland Islands. This requires the incumbent to work in collaboration with a range of FIG departments and external stakeholders and provide advice and communications support in multi-agency environment with a pre-planning focus on risk reduction and management.

Essential criteria include a degree in a relevant discipline, at least 5 years relevant experience of working with the emergency services, or other relevant field such as data analysis and handling sensitive information, have demonstratable experience of delivering risk management and emergency planning processes and have the ability to see tasks through to a successful conclusion, meeting challenging deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.
