Therapy Assistant

Job Title: Therapy Asssitant 

FIG Grade:  This is a progression planned post. The successful applicant will be appointed to either Grade G1 starting salary £21,135 - £24,279 per annum or Grade F starting salary £24,950 - £28,689 per annum depending on qualifications, skills and experience.

The Opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop themselves within an exercise and rehabilitation setting. The role involves working under Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to independently supervise the rehabilitation of clients through one-to-one sessions and exercise and activity groups. In-house training will be provided, with the possibility of further on-line qualifications.

Essential criteria: The candidate must have a minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C/Grade 4 or above in English Language, Maths and Science (or recognised equivalent). A Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) level 3 or A Level in an exercise-related field, or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience in a similar role, operating to this level of complexity and competency is also essential.

FIG Grade: D1 starting salary £35,774 - £41,168 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This will be pro-rated to reflect the part time hours worked.

The Opportunity: You will be required to take the operational lead in budget monitoring, setting and forecasting for the Health & Social Services Directorate across both operational and capital budgets.

Essential criteria: Qualified to HND/NVQ level 5, (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, be a Member of The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), or equivalent, along with a strong understanding of accounting and finance techniques and their practical application and with at least five years proven experience of working in delivering effective financial management and reporting.

Police Constable

FIG Grade E2 starting salary £28,982 - £38,185 per annum. An additional 10% flexible working allowance on basic salary. Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

The Opportunity: To be part of a dedicated team, providing a 24/7 emergency and public protection service to the Falkland Islands community. Your duties will vary and will include a wide range of interesting challenges to maintain low crime rates, contributing to the prevention of incidents through thorough investigation and the detection of crime. In addition, you will contribute to keeping the peace and providing response to the community and other agencies through helping, advising, assisting, supporting and reassuring where necessary.

FIG Grade:  C : starting salary £42,641- £49,090 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. 

Market Supplement: This role may attract a market supplement and will be subject to an annual review.

The Opportunity: To provide a high quality and comprehensive ultrasound service within agreed departmental protocols. The post holder will be professionally accountable for all aspects of their work and managing their workload competently to a high standard for patients and support for staff as necessary.

Essential criteria: Registration with the UK Health and Care Professions Council (or equivalent) with a post graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound and five years’ experience as a qualified sonographer including obstetrics, gynaecology and general medical.

The Opportunity: Reporting to the Head of Personal Tax & Pensions the post-holder will be responsible for the correct application of relevant taxes legislation and procedures to ensure individual and employer compliance for the Falkland Islands Government and the Government of South Georgia & South Sandwich Islands.

Essential criteria: 

being able to demonstrate verbal and numeracy aptitude to at least GCSE Grade C/Level 4 in English and Maths, and significant practical experience of at least four years in a financial or office environment.
