Background & Qualifications
I was born in Italy where I completed MSc in Biology with the address in Physiopathology at University of Genova. Then, after 10 years, I had my chance to moving into Marine Biology and I obtained a Master in Research (MRes) at Plymouth University with a thesis, held at the Marine Biological Association of U.K, on a possible new species of Diatom collected in Antarctic waters. Since then I have worked as observer for MRAG Ltd and Cofrepeche, and my first hit with Falkland was in the Loligo Campaign 2020. I qualified as PADI Divemaster in 2014 and I had experience in tropical waters such as Caribbean, Maldives and Kenya where I worked in divulgation and awareness projects focusing on the conservation of tropical marine ecosystems, organizing lectures and Citizen Science Project for beach Clean-up and plastic removal.
I am interested in long term impact on fish stocks and marine ecosystem due to fisheries pressure associated with environmental changes.
I finally joined Falkland’s team in January 2023 to work as a Scientific Fisheries Observer.
