COVID-19 update: All restrictions to MPC to be lifted

Further to the announcement made on 11 February 2021, BFSAI has confirmed that MPC restrictions will be lifted from 19 February. The Covid-19 cluster has been contained and as such, face coverings will not be worn in MPC and social distancing measures are no longer in force. This means that, as of tomorrow, normal travel in and out of MPC will be permitted.

It is, however, requested that everyone continues to follow the guidance on public health practices to protect themselves and those around them. Please continue to wash your hands and use hand sanitiser routinely. HQ BFSAI will continue to implement the good practice of surveillance swabbing across MPC, with frontline staff being identified and invited to take regular lateral flow tests. FIG and BFSAI wish to thank everyone impacted by the recent situation for their support during this difficult time.
