Update on Covid-19 swabbing in the Falkland Islands

As of today, Tuesday 19 January, the latest swabbing results are as follows:

• Total number of swab tests taken and processed to date: 5,961
• Total number of swabs taken but not yet tested: 26
• Total number of positive test results since 3 April 2020: 32
• Number of current positive test results within the Islands: 3

These positive cases were identified as a result of swabbing during quarantine. Each person will continue to be monitored by medical professionals while their complete their 14 days in isolation. To date we have not had any cases of Covid-19 requiring hospital admission.
